AI generated images have come a long way with the recent hype. However, they seem to have problems with generating human hands, see 1, 2. A Stability AI spokesperson told BuzzFeed News that hands appear less visibly and much smaller than faces in training images, so the models see few good examples of them. Turning this problem around, could wearing a fake finger like Nadja Buttendorf’s FINGERring, a life-size silicone copy of her ring finger worn as a ring, make regular footage look AI-generated?
